Our ECOSAFE bridge decks VD100, VD200, VD300 and VD400 are so-called sandwiches consisting of  load-carrying skins of glass fibre reinforced polyester and a sandwich core of PUR foam or balsa wood. Our decks are structurally more efficient than the well known pultrusion planks. In addition they are sound-damping and more resistant against local impact loads.

ECOSAFE decks are designed by our own engineers, based on Eurocode 1: NEN-EN 1991-2/NB and the standads NEN 6788, NEN 6723, NEN 6702 and NEN 6706, and the Dutch design code CUR 96. All decks are produced by us with the  vacuum infusion process.

For any span, width, structural height and set of loads we are able to design and produce a sandwich deck. These decks can be mounted on the main structure with screws, bolts or adhesives. On request we deliver the deck with a wear layer.

ECOSAFE VD100
Durable and sound-damping sandwich deck for a pedestrian load of 5 kN/m² and service vehicles.
ECOSAFE VD200
Durable and sound-damping sandwich deck for vehicle loads of 30 tonnes, and 45 tonnes if the distance between the girders is maximum 0.8 m. Also available is a similar sandwich deck for vehicle loads of 60 tonnes, even up to 100 tonnes.
ECOSAFE VD300
Durable and sound-damping sandwich deck comparable to ECOSAFE VD100, for vehicle loads of 30 tonnes if the distance between the girders is maximum 0.75 m.
ECOSAFE VD400
Durable and sound-damping sandwich deck for a pedestrian load of 5 kN/m².
